Summer Creations Blog Hop

Welcome to the •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Seasonal Blog Hop!

This month we will be featuring summer paper crafting creations.

If you’ve arrive from Pam Furlong's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

This month we have a number of Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using various CTMH products to help you get in the mood to scrapbook your summer fun. Not that we need a lot of help in that area! I have been ready for summer for months now!

Because February was so cold here I decided that I needed to immerse myself in summer photos to remind me that we actually do get nice weather here! Here are my creations:

The first collection of layouts is an entire week long camping trip we took last summer. I chose the pocket page approach because of the number of photos I wanted to use. Most of the paper used in this project is the Seaside Picture My Life (PML) collection but I also used some Surf's Up and Hopscotch PML cards and a few other non-CTMH cards and embellishments.

the happy birthday picture is actually a flip flap

Products Used:
Seaside Picture My Life
Seaside Compliments
Surf's Up Picture My Life
For Always Picture My Life
Hopscotch Picture My Life - retired
lagoon hearts washi tape
black arrow washi tape
4" x 6" flip flaps

For the next set of layouts I used the National Scrapbooking Month Taste of Summer exclusive paper collection to document a BBQ. I was so happy to see the colours worked so well with these pictures even though they were taken 2 years ago! I added my journalling and a few more embellishments after taking these pictures.

Products Used:
Taste of Summer paper collection
Blossom compliments

This next set of layouts is one of my favourites using the Surf's Up Picture My Life kit.

this is the title page that comes with the full PML kit

Products Used:
Surf's Up Picture My Life
Surf's Up stickers and embellishments - retired
gold polka dot washi tape

Thank you so much for following along on our Blog Hop today! I hope you enjoyed all the lovely artwork... Now it’s time to head on over to Natalie Racine's Blog and see her artwork! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great summertime crafting ideas!

A New Way to TOTE Your Pocket Scrapbooking Supplies

Close To My Heart has really outdone themselves this time with their newest product - the rolling tote. It has been a couple of years since the company has sold one and it was so worth the wait!

This durable rolling bag is the only one on the market that has been designed to hold the CTMH plastic organizers that fit our pocket scrapbooking supplies so well. The top zips all the way down for easy loading. The front pocket is sized to fit 12x12 paper collections, plus there are 2 additional side pockets perfect for extra tools and embellishments. The size of the tote is 25 1/2" x 16" x 17 1/2. A very small amount of assembly is required.

But don't take my word for it! Here is my first happy customer review and pictures of what this crafter has been able to fit in it. She purchased this item to make attending scrapbooking crops much easier. Everything (and I mean everything!) she needs for the day fits in this one bag that she can pull with one hand.

The following description comes directly from my happy customer. She is primarily a pocket scrapbooker right now but loves to use mix media to create a lot of her own supplies

I've got almost all of my supplies in those 4 boxes.
Bottom: Glitter, sequins, stickles, brads, embossing powders, stamp cleaner spray, liquid glass, eyelets, and more.
Second bottom: stamp pads (various companies), ink refills, punches, mini attacher, and stamp pad cleaner.
Second from top: pocket page cards and flip flaps.
Top: Art supplies - watercolour paints, spritz pens (CTMH), pencils, erasers, waterproof pens, adhesives, scissors, sea salt and masking fluid, etc.
Pretty much the only things not in those boxes are larger items that will fit elsewhere in the bag: 12x12 paper, albums and pages, paper trimmer, heat gun and markers.

What Will You Put in Your Tote?

This rolling tote is priced at $164.95 and is comparable to other totes on the market although there is nothing out there that will fit all your plastic totes and then some! Just google scrapbooking totes to see what an amazing and unique product CTMH has designed for us. Additionally, when you purchase this tote directly through me you will receive $25 in free CTMH product (your choice)!

Contact me today to place your order for this amazing bag or to find out how you could purchase it at half price!

If you’ve arrive from Emma Hubert's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here

This month we have a number of Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using various CTMH products to help you get in a festive mood for the holiday season.

I have chosen to showcase the Picture My Life Pear and Partridge Scrapbooking Program. I just love how the cards go so well with my childhood pictures from 1975.

page one and two

gold frame cut out on Artbooking cartridge and altered
red glitter gem placed on top of the page protector
hand cut a small flag for my journalling

the Christmas Morning tag was cut out of 3x4 card
gold polka dot washi tape added
gold glitter bow was cut on the artbooking cartridge
red gem
gold sequins

page 3
gold sequins
Smiles cut on the artbooking cartridge
3x4" cardstock covered in gold polka dot washi tape

Here I used a 4x4" flip flap to add two additional photos to my pocket page.

I kept this layout simple with very few embellishments because the paper is so beautiful already. This allows me more time to spend creating additional pages for my family to enjoy.

Products Used:
